TIPITINA'S FOUNDATION: INSTRUMENTS A-COMIN' PROGRAM

The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools is proud to be working with The Tipitina's Foundation to collect donations from conference attendees, presenters, sponsors and exhibitors for the Instruments A-Comin Program.

ABOUT TIPITINA'S FOUNDATION

The Tipitina's Foundation is a non-profit corporation historically focusing its efforts on music education and music business.  As part of its mission, the Tipitina's Foundation is committed to putting an instrument into the hands of every student in New Orleans. Tipitina's didn't know how important this mission would become in the wake of Katrina. As the people of New Orleans work diligently to rebuild their wonderful city, the Tipitina's Foundation is doing its part to save the city's musical culture.  Tipitina's is a world famous club and music icon.

ABOUT THE INSTRUMENTS A-COMIN' PROGRAM 

Through the Instruments A-Comin’ Program, the Foundation is committed to putting instruments in every school that has a functioning music program and into the hands of the next generation of great New Orleans musicians.

Donations collected in connection with the 2008 National Charter Schools Conference will be directed to New Orleans Public Charter Schools.  The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools will look forward to presenting a check to the Tipitina's Foundation during the conference on behalf of all conference participants and the national charter schools community.
