OLD WAREHOUSE DISTRICT (2-4 Blocks from Convention Center)
The portion of the Central Business District of New Orleans closer to the River is known as the Old Warehouse District, as it was heavily devoted to warehouses before shipping became containerized. Many of the old 19th century warehouses have been converted into hotel, restaurants, condominiums, and art galleries. Situated along the banks of the Mississippi River, between the French Quarter and the Garden District, the Old Warehouse Arts District is an urban center for the creative talents New Orleans continues to inspire. Aside from dozens of contemporary galleries and some of the city's finest restaurants--including the world-famous Emeril's--the neighborhood also boasts upscale lofts and apartments, the newly opened National D-Day Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, the Louisiana Children's Museum and the soon-to-be-opened Ogden Museum of Southern Art.

CANAL STREET/FRENCH QUARTER
The French Quarter, also known as Vieux Carré - or the “Quarter” to locals, sits on a crescent in the Mississippi River on some of the highest ground in New Orleans. Not only is this is city’s cultural hub, but is a community where residents take time to reminisce with neighbors about times gone by and to welcome visitors in the streets. Intimate and unique, The French Quarter is New Orleans’ oldest neighborhood. Besides its obvious architectural distinction the Vieux Carre offers visitors a plethora of different experiences. Around the bend of every corner you may find a eclectic shopping destination, delicious restaurant, or history museum. Browse the treasure trove at the French Market, shade yourself in Jackson Square, and munch on a muffellata at Central Grocery. Click Here to learn more about the French Quarter
